1966
Our story began in 1966, when Mr. António da Silva Coelho started his business as a sole proprietor in the light and heavy vehicle sector. With an entrepreneurial vision, extensive experience, and a strong commitment to his work, he laid the foundations for a business project that would evolve and grow stronger over the decades, built on values such as trust, commitment, and close relationships with customers.
1981
In 1981, after 15 years of operating as a sole proprietor, Mr. António da Silva Coelho founded A. Coelho, Lda. together with his wife and children. This milestone marked a new chapter in the company’s journey, with the creation of a more structured family business, better equipped to support the growth of its activities, strengthen its responsiveness, and establish a solid foundation for the future.
2003
As the business grew and new challenges emerged, the group continued to expand its operations, strengthening its presence in the heavy vehicle sector.
In 2003, a strategic partnership was established with MAN, marking the beginning of a collaboration that continues to this day. This partnership led to the creation of A.C. Manutenção e Comércio de Veículos, S.A., a company dedicated to the technical support and commercialisation of heavy vehicles, which quickly consolidated its position in the national market, standing out for the quality of its services and its technical expertise in the MAN brand.
2004
In 2004, continuing its process of growth and diversification, Assivepe was founded to meet the demands of a specialised segment: semi-trailer repair. This strategic move enabled the group to broaden its scope of operations, further strengthening its technical expertise and its ability to respond effectively to its customers’ needs.
2006
In 2006, identifying a growth opportunity in the heavy vehicle rental sector and related services, ACtoRent was established. The new company was created with the aim of providing flexible solutions tailored to the needs of businesses, strengthening the group’s ability to respond to its customers’ operational challenges.
Dedicated to the rental of heavy vehicles without drivers, ACtoRent complemented the group’s existing offering, enabling it to expand its scope of operations and further consolidate its presence in the transport sector.
2007
In 2007, drawing on its accumulated experience in the sector and the growing demand for differentiated solutions in the heavy vehicle market, TraidAC was established. Specialising in the sale of multi-brand heavy vehicles and equipment, the company complemented the group’s existing business areas, strengthening its ability to provide integrated solutions tailored to its customers’ needs.
2009
Building on its accumulated experience in the heavy vehicle sector and its commitment to expanding into new segments of the automotive market, Experteficaz, Lda. was established in 2009. The company was founded with a clear focus on multi-brand repair services for light vehicles, enabling the group to complement its offering and reach a broader customer base.
2012
In 2012, the ACXXI Group continued its expansion with the creation of Meridi-Rent, a company focused on the sale and rental of vehicles, as well as the sale of parts and accessories, broadening the group’s range of services and responding to the evolving needs of the market.
With this strategic move, the group continued to build its journey around diversification, seeking to create complementary solutions and adapt to the changing demands of the sector.
2017
In 2017, the group strengthened its geographical presence with the opening of a new facility in Perafita, Porto, dedicated to the multi-brand maintenance and repair of trucks and semi-trailers.
This new workshop represented an important step in bringing the group closer to its customers in the northern region, providing a specialised facility equipped to meet the technical demands of the heavy vehicle sector.
2020
In 2020, the ACXXI Group expanded its activity with the opening of another multi-brand workshop for trucks and semi-trailers in the Carregado Industrial Zone.
This new facility strengthened the group’s capacity to provide assistance, maintenance, and repair services for heavy vehicles, ensuring a service based on proximity, quality, and efficiency for customers in the transport sector. Another important step in the group’s growth and in fulfilling its mission: “A Set of Solutions.”
